Please don't judge me for my online presence...

I have this problem that things don't turn out how I want them to.
I feel like this blog and the photos on it don't really reflect me, or the style I want it to have, which really really sucks.
And I don't really have the time right now to fix it, which also sucks.
But I came across this quote (via an interview of Lorde by Rookie)
and it's keeping me okay with the current situation for the time being:

"Nobody tells this to people who are beginners, I wish someone told me. All of us who do creative work, we get into it because we have good taste. But there is this gap. For the first couple years you make stuff, it’s just not that good. It’s trying to be good, it has potential, but it’s not. But your taste, the thing that got you into the game, is still killer. And your taste is why your work disappoints you. A lot of people never get past this phase, they quit. Most people I know who do interesting, creative work went through years of this. We know our work doesn’t have this special thing that we want it to have. We all go through this. And if you are just starting out or you are still in this phase, you gotta know its normal and the most important thing you can do is do a lot of work..." -Ira Glass

Anyways, that's all I've got for today!

Everybody needs a bestfriend

... And I was blessed with a pretty great one :)
She is such an example to me, doing the Lord's work in Alabama,
but I miss her terribly.
She was such a sweetheart and, using her limited missionary funds,
sent me a cassette tape! It was the best thing ever to hear her voice
and all the crazy stories she had to share.

She is the cutest.

I'm also very blessed with another bestfriend-turned-roommate that
sat out in her Surburban with me at 11pm in the freezing cold
so I could listen to my tape.

I love them lots.
