hello, it's me.

hello again, little internet corner.

do people even still blog? is this a thing?

I stopped about a year ago (2014, man. those were the days.) but here I am, once again.
because sometimes you need a place, you know? I'm feeling a little lost in this big world, to be honest, so a place seems like a perfect thing right about now.

life update: kyle and I got married! finally. in the most perfect wedding that you ever did see. I quit school. I'm thinking about rejoining. I work two jobs, both that I don't like very much (one, more so than the other.) what is it about retail managers and thinking that working at the mall should be your end-all-be-all? I feel like I'm working really hard for no outcome, so I'm hoping to change that.

round two. let's see how this goes.

I hope you're alive for 100 more years

Interrupting the Australia posts to wish Kyle Andrew Coster a Happy Birthday :)
Last year's post was super long so I'll keep this short and sweet!

Life is an adventure with you, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Happy 28th, babe

o captain, my captain

(title because: lighthouse and because: Robin Williams (sadface))

Our second day in Port Fairy, we went on a walk called the Island Loop. It's basically a teeny tiny island with a lighthouse and a man made pedestrian bridge to get there. When my mum is with her sisters, they are women on a mission. They walk quickly from Point A to Point B, so I was definitely lagging behind as I was taking it all in. Luckily, Dad stuck with me and we saw some pretty cool stuff! I loved all the old historic walls, and we spotted a couple of wallabies :) We finally caught up to everyone else at the lighthouse, who were just sitting and waiting for us so they could move on to Point C, but of course we had to explore a bit too! The surfer was a super nice guy who was just on his lunch break. We were totally impressed that he was out while it was so cold and there were jagged rocks under the waves. Dedication.

Dear Kyle,
I'm not big on surfing,
but if you wanted to
I wouldn't mind.
Love, Tay

for whatever we lose

(like a you or a me)
it's always ourselves
we find in the sea

Our second stop on our trip was to my cousin's in Port Fairy. This one is going to be spread across a couple days, since it was such a beautiful little place I couldn't stop taking photos. My cousins own some holiday units only feet from the beach, so after bringing in our luggage we headed straight there. Of course, it's winter here, so it was a little chilly but wonderful none the less. Billy was brave and actually got wet, while the rest of us shivered in our coats. On our way back to the units, it totally started pouring rain so I didn't take any photos of the cute houses that make up Port Fairy. I was going to come back another time, but we had so many other things planned that it just didn't happen... I did, however, look up one of the boutique hotels - The Drift House - and have decided that I really do need to stay there during the summer sometime :)

Dear Kyle,
On all my little walks on the beach,
I kept spotting excellent photo spots
and thinking, "Kyle would love this."
This is your kind of place.
Love, Tay
