"We’re on a grand adventure, you and I. Our own little moon mission. And everything that comes next…well we’ll just have to see, won’t we?"

(such a smart woman. She'll be quoted often)

Puppy Lovin'

On Friday night, my roommate Abby and I rented a puppy. Yes, rented a puppy.
For one whole hour, we got some serious play and snuggle time with this little hunk of love named Alfie. And we were so sad when he had to leave. We're seriously considering just keeping him forever.

Best $15 we ever spent.

Brown paper packages, tied up with string

Mail from home is my favourite thing!
My sweet Mama sent wonderfully cozy socks and
a heart handwarmer when I told her about the snow
And my boy sent the most wonderful letter ever written...
With the pigeon from Don't Let The Pigeon Drive the Bus!
(It's a long story, but maybe one day I'll tell it)
If that's not true love, I don't know what is.

I'm just feeling super happy and super blessed and super loved.

also: I'm thinking of a new series called "All The Surfaces in Tay's Apartment." Ya dig? ;)

Sometimes

You just really need to buy an insane amount of sugar with your roommates.
Luckily we have The Chocolate not too far away.
And the grocery store even closer for late night ice cream runs.

I'm so glad these people understand me.

Just a couple of kids

This is the face of a boy who loves a baseball movie.
It makes him look like an adorable 5 year old and that melts my heart.
(From our skype movie date last Friday)

...

"We'll go on Space Mountain and make out."

This boy sure knows how to
make a girl's dreams
come true at the
Happiest Place on Earth.

(Future plans are the best)

My heart likes to smile

Sometimes my heart just gets so excited!
I'm an all or nothing kind of girl when it comes to emotions
which is a blessing and a curse.
Here are a couple of things that make me Oh So Happy as of late.

The photos above make me happy
the one on the left was taken by Kyle on our one year anniversary,
(see the rest here)
and the one on the right was taken on
The Great Bestfriend Roadtrip with Kirs last March.

General Conference makes me happy.
It is one of those things that never fails to answer
some of my questions and prayers.

Wonderful Roommates make me especially happy.
And I was definitely blessed with the best of the best :)
I would never put the six of us together, but we fit so well.
I'm glad this whole "being away from home" thing
is so much easier because of them.

As of late...

We have been having Skype movie nights.
Same snacks, same drinks, same movie. 912 miles away.
First up was my pick, Father of the Bride (one of my all-time favourites since I was a kid)
And now onto his: Angels in the Outfield.

Long distance is not something I particularly enjoy.
Read: Do not like at all.
But it's nice that we can still have some time together.
And really, I'll take anything I can get.

Snow is gross.

Clockwise: 1//2//3//4

Snow is pretty high on my list of things I hate.
Because I hate being cold.
And I'm not so much a fan of being cold and wet.
I can barely drive as it is, so snow on the road is terrifying.
Which means I can't go anywhere I like.
All in all... No bueno.

Today, it snowed. Real life snow. And it was 73 degrees two days ago!
Which is actually breaking my heart. I'm not okay with this.
One plus to cold weather, however, are cold weather clothes
(though I never feel warm enough)
My prediction for this winter is that bobble/pom pom beanies will be a big deal.
So here are my current favourite picks, all from helloquiettiger
Though I'm a poor college student, so I can't afford any of them.
But a girl can dream...

Anyways, moral of the story: bobble hats. Get on that.

Hello, Little Room.

Photo taken on my crappy phone that has exactly 2MP.
I am here. I am here. I am here!
"Here" is Provo, Utah. My newest adventure.
No longer working in a library, or residing in the PNW.
I am a college student, 1/6th of Apartment Number Two, and a little homesick.

"Here" is also my new little room in Apartment Number Two.
I used to love to decorate my room. ALL my walls were plastered with things.
But somewhere along the way I stopped... until just recently when a cute boy put up beautiful lights in my room for my birthday. I meant to post pictures, but I have a lot of good intentions for this blog that never happen. C'est la vie.
Anyways, while we were out at the Oregon Coast, I picked these posters up!

(left to right): New York, because it's my dream. Bicycles, because my love loves them. And penmanship, because I love it. Then a poster of the world, to remind me of why I'm doing all this studying, A couple Polaroids, my teddy from my childhood, and a little baby Belle & Beast (a gift from a certain someone after a certain trip to Disneyland.) My Polaroid wall at home is much larger, and way more impressive, but I thought I'd just have two at my two different homes instead of transporting a million little photos everytime I leave (I gave this one a little boost with some of my favourites)

Also things to note: I'm pretty much poor, have to make new friends, and I don't know how to cook.
Yay for new beginnings!
